Job summary

Raleigh Orthopaedics is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center team. You will prep, maintain aseptic conditions, and assist surgeons to ensure operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with current BLS, CST preferred, and at least 1 year of surgical experience. You will work closely with nurses and sterile processing to uphold infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up sterile surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
• Assist surgeons and operating room staff during surgeries, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments efficiently
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
• Handle specimens appropriately and ensure accurate labeling
• Clean, disinfect, and restock ORs between procedures
• Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesia, and sterile processing teams
• Uphold infection control standards and ensure regulatory compliance
