Job summary

Raleighortho is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center team. You’ll prep rooms, maintain sterile technique, and support surgeons during procedures.

This full-time role requires CST certification (preferred), BLS, and at least one year of OR experience; we value attention to detail and strong teamwork. You will count instruments, assist with specimen handling, and ensure proper restocking between cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up sterile surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and operating room staff during surgeries, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments efficiently.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Handle specimens appropriately and ensure accurate labeling.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock ORs between procedures.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesia, and sterile processing teams.
• Uphold infection control standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
