Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensure: Non-licensed/certified candidates may be considered.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• English: Must understand English both written and spoken.
• Preferred Education: Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology.
• Preferred Licensure- Certification: Surgical Technology Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
