Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room to support the surgical team by providing instruments and coordinating patient care. You will help maintain instrument accountability and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in line with Mercy standards.

Qualifications include a High-School Diploma or GED and American Heart Association BLS certification. English proficiency is required, with responsibilities performed safely per federal, state, or local law.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required; you may be asked to provide proof of education.
• Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.
• Experience: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must understand English both written and spoken and perform job duties safely with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical instruments to the surgical team in the operating room.
• Coordinate care of the surgical patient with the team and ensure instrument accountability.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality per Mercy standards.
