Job summary

OhioHealth in the Labor and Delivery Unit is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room, gather instruments, and assist the surgical team during procedures. The role includes draping, instrument delivery, and patient care tasks performed under the surgeon's supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and BLS; preference for a CAHHEP-accredited program or equivalent military training, with strong critical thinking and team collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED and BLS certification.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technologist program is preferred or equivalent military training.
• 10+ years' experience as a Surgery Technician is strongly considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR and supplies, maintain sterile field, and deliver instruments to the surgeon and team.
• Assist in draping, exposure, and routine intraoperative duties under supervision.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning, room turnover, and equipment restocking.

Education

BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)

CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist education or military training
