Job summary

OhioHealth Corporation is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the OR, deliver instruments, assist the surgeon, and ensure sterile technique throughout procedures. The role includes post-procedure room cleanup, equipment maintenance, and supporting unit operations. Eligible external applicants may receive a $7,500 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS. Shifts are variable and the department is Surgery Main.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, BLS certification typical
• Eligible for OhioHealth OR ST Fellowship completion or equivalent military training
• Experience or training in operating room sterile technique and intraoperative duties

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing supplies and instruments and maintains sterile field.
• Acts as second assistant to surgeon, assists with draping and specimen handling as needed.
• Performs post-procedure room cleaning, equipment maintenance, and restocking; supports unit operations and staff training.
