Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL, is seeking staff for Labor and Delivery night shifts. The role supports obstetric and C-section procedures, assisting surgeons and maintaining sterile environments while ensuring patient safety and efficient throughput.

The position requires a valid BLS certification within 30 days of hire and an appropriate educational background, including either a High School diploma with experience or an Associate's/Technical degree.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile and non-sterile instruments, supplies, and surgical suites tailored for obstetric and C-section procedures.
• Hand required instruments to the surgeon, assist with establishing hemostasis, and support patient transport, positioning, and draping.
• Maintain clean, organized surgical fields while continuously tracking instrument, sponge, and needle counts to ensure surgical safety.
• Facilitate safe, rapid surgical interventions during routine and emergency Labor & Delivery surgical operations.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Education:
