A leading nonprofit health system in Nashville is seeking a Surgical Technologist for crucial support during cardiovascular and neuro surgical procedures. As part of the care team, you'll prepare the surgical suite, maintain instruments, and assist surgeons. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with necessary BLS and surgical tech certifications. Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Surgical Tech credential from NBSTSA obtained before the hire date required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of cardiovascular and/or neuro surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures and assist surgeons' provision of hemostasis during surgery.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
