Ascension St. Vincent in Fishers, IN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures in the OR. You will prepare the operating suite, hand instruments to the surgeon, position patients, and maintain instrument counts.
The role requires BLS within 30 days, NCCT or NBSTSA certification, and education options. Shifts are three 12-hour days, Monday to Friday, with some weekends and holidays.

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
Candidates with 1+ years OR hospital strongly preferred.
Shifts will be three (12-hour) shifts, Monday- Friday.
Some weekend, weekday and holiday call shifts required
