To assist the surgical team at the Cardiovascular Center operating rooms during operative procedures, by preparing sterile equipment for the operation and passing instruments, sponges, and sutures to the operating team. Assist with inventory, sterilization of instruments, prepare and select equipment for procedures, transfer patients as needed, turnover and transfer of instruments to CSR/Decontamination, and put equipment back in place. Other duties as assigned.

What Benefits Can You Look Forward To?
Full-time, 40 hours; all positions are day shift with afternoon or night shift rotation, as well as midnight, weekend, and holiday on-call/shift obligations.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters related to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
