An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams by preparing sterile environments and assisting during operations. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring the sterilization of instruments, and maintaining patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teamwork and a proactive approach to contributing to a positive department culture. To assist the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing sterile equipment for the operation and passing instruments, sponges, and sutures to the operating team. Assist with inventory management, sterilization of instruments, preparation and selection of equipment for procedures, transfer of patients as needed, turnover and transfer of instruments to CSPD/Decontamination, and equipment organization. Other duties may be assigned.

Day/Evening position:

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which covers wages, benefits, hours, and employment conditions.
