Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing sterile equipment, passing instruments, sponges, and sutures, and supporting other related duties such as inventory management, sterilization, equipment preparation, patient transfer, and instrument turnover. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
This position involves moderate standing and walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and transferring patients.
Day/Night shifts, 36-40 hours per week, with varying start times, including on-call, weekend, and holiday duties.
This role is covered under the collective bargaining agreement with U-M and UMMAP, which governs wages, benefits, hours, and employment conditions.
