Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Lake Havasu City, AZ. This full-time day position supports surgeons, nurses and anesthesia providers, ensuring a sterile, efficient environment and patient-centered care from pre-op to post-op.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, and at least 1 year of Surg Tech experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year Surg Tech experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days; CST NBSTSA certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments and supplies.
• Position patients and prep surgical sites.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments.
• Assist with retractors, sutures, specimens, dressings.
• Handle counts, room turnover, cleaning and restocking.
• Support safety, quality, teamwork and patient care.

How you'll contribute

A Surg Techwho excels in this role:

• Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, sterile solutions, and supplies before procedures.
• Help prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and ensuring the surgical site is properly prepped.
• Maintain a sterile field at all times and uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique to prevent infection.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments and supplies efficiently and safely throughout the procedure.
• Assist with tasks such as holding retractors, cutting sutures, handling specimens, and applying dressings as directed.
• Participate in pre‑and post‑procedure counts, room turnover, cleaning, and restocking to keep cases running smoothly.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Minimum of 1-year Surg Tech experience is required.

Additional requirements include:

• Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire & Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Education:High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Experience:Minimum of 1 year of Surg Tech experience required.
