Kidney Specialists Of Southern Nevada is seeking a dynamic Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Ambulatory Surgical Center team in Las Vegas, NV. The CST will prepare operating rooms, assist surgeons, and maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current certification through NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
• Nevada State license/registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery.
• Clean and restock the operating room after procedures.

Our care team educates and empowers patients who are living with kidney disease. This opportunity allows you to join a seasoned team of 65 Physicians and Advanced Practitioners, as well as 130+ team members across eight office locations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our growing Ambulatory Surgical Center team. The CST plays a vital role in surgical operations, preparing the operating room, arranging equipment, and assisting surgeons and nurses during surgery by passing instruments while maintaining a sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures in compliance with organization policies, federal, and state regulations.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure accuracy.
• Clean and restock the operating room after procedures.
• Reprocess surgical instruments.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Current certification through NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
  • Nevada State license/registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Preferred:
  • At least 1 year of surgical tech experience in a hospital or ASC setting.
  • Experience in multiple specialties (e.g., orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurosurgery).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
