Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring a Surgical Technician Resident. The role is full-time, 1.0 FTE with 8-hour variable shifts and a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires.

The program includes onboarding of at least 6 months, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs and other staff, and increasing responsibility as a resident assists in procedures and maintains sterile practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program with required credentialing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with surgeons and perioperative team to deliver patient care during surgery.
• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment needed for the procedure.
• Maintain sterile environment and anticipate the surgeon's needs.
