Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK, is hiring a Surgical Technician Resident for a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with 8-hour variable shifts. The role supports surgeons, anesthesiologists, and RN staff by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment and maintaining a sterile environment.

New graduates from a Surgical Technology program may onboard for at least 6 months, with a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires. BLS certification within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology program through CAAHEP/ABHES or military training.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and anticipate the surgeon's needs.
• Work with a preceptor and progressively assume more responsibility.
