Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage seeks Surgical Technicians for multiple full-time openings. Two 40-hour per week positions offer a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to provide instruments and supplies, while maintaining sterile technique and anticipating needs during procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program accredited by the CAAHEP or other program accredited by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist or completion of a Surgical Technician Military Training program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - NBSTSA upon hire.
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - NCCT upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of Operating Room experience for candidates who graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent; or six months of on-the-job scrub experience with minimum one year OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons, Anesthesiologists, RN's and other surgical personnel during procedures by handling instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a sterile environment and anticipate the needs of the surgeon during the operation.
