Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking Surgical Technicians to join our OR team. Two full-time positions, 1.0 FTE, with variable shifts totaling 40 hours per week. Eligible external hires may receive a $10,000 signing bonus and relocation assistance.

The role supports surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OR team by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure safe, efficient surgery.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist upon hire or equivalent certification.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum one year operating room scrub experience or 6 months plus on-the-job OR scrub training.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff to deliver patient care during surgery.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for the procedure.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field throughout the operation.

CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology Program

National Certified Surgical Technologist (NCST)

National Tech in Surgery - Certified (NOTSC)

BLS Certification (AHA)
