Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK invites applications for the Surgical Technician Resident program. Graduates from a Surgical Technology program begin onboarding lasting at least 6 months and work with a preceptor to assume increasing responsibility.

The resident will assist surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses, manage instruments and supplies, and maintain a sterile field across 40-hour weeks with 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of Surgical Technology program through CAAHEP/ABHES or Surgical Technology Military Training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs and other surgical staff during procedures.
• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment; maintain a sterile environment.
• Work with a preceptor and assume increasing responsibility during residency.
