Job summary

TSAOG Orthopaedics & Spine is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to join our operating room team. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations, maintain a safe, sterile environment, and ensure the OR is well-equipped for procedures.

You will work closely with surgeons and staff, preparing instruments, monitoring supplies, and helping maintain patient safety and workflow in a fast-paced setting. Certification and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Certification as Surgical Technician is required.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist in patient positioning as needed.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and inventory of supplies.
