OrthoArkansas is seeking an Operating Room Surgical Technologist to ensure sterile technique and support the surgical team in all phases of procedures. You will prepare and assist in the OR, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards to protect patients.

The role includes turnover support, record-keeping, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and staff to optimize surgical efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Set up sterile fields and maintain sterile technique per policies and standards.
• Scrub, gown, and glove for surgeries and monitor sterile conditions.
• Assist RN Circulator in turning over ORs between cases and maintain patient safety.
• Operate and sanitize sterilization equipment; restock instruments and supplies.
• Follow OSHA guidelines for disposal of sharps and hazardous materials; use MSDS/Hazardous Communication Plan.
• Enter surgical log data, receive packages, and collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure safety.
• Perform other related duties to support the surgical team.
