Qualifikationen

• Technical school graduate in Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing.
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences.
• 0–2 years operating room experience.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control.
• Ability to anticipate needs and communicate with the team.
• Attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Prepares and maintains the operating room for surgical cases with proper organization.
• Assists the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies accurately.
• Handles and sterilizes surgical instruments following protocols.
• Performs counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfer methods.
• Maintains physician preference cards and ensures availability of supplies.
• Reprocesses and sterilizes instruments according to protocols.
• Restocks supplies and readies OR for subsequent cases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
