Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the circulating nurse, scrub for procedures, and support daily OR operations. You will manage instruments, sterilization, and equipment while ensuring sterile technique and patient safety in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The role requires current surgical tech certification and BLS, plus knowledge of anatomy and sterilization protocols. You will participate in performance improvement and maintain confidentiality of patient records.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technician program, or equivalent education, experience, or training.
• Current certification by the California Certified Surgical Technician Board or equivalent training.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist and anticipate needs of surgeon relating to instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique at all times.
• Prepare for surgical procedures by picking supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and stock rooms; intake supplies and distribute to areas.
• Assist with turnover of the O.R. and proper care of specimens.
