Qualifications

• Under supervision of OR Manager/Administrator and RN guidance, scrubs and assists within sterile field during procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and proper care of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to staffing schedules and attendance policies.
• Assists with preparation of the operating room, pulls cases per schedule and stocks/cleans OR.
• Provides direct patient care in clinical areas and demonstrates competence.
• Participates in orientation and competency programs for staff.
• Completes LMS continuing education annually.
• Participates in department and facility staff meetings.
