Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is hiring Surgical Technician I/II to support the OR team under licensed professionals. You will prepare instruments, scrub in, and assist surgeons while helping with turnover and instrument decontamination.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program. Expected duties include assisting in multiple age groups, contributing to orientation, and maintaining basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
• 1+ years of surgical tech experience.
• Mastery of basic Surgical Tech skills and knowledge of at least one specialty service.
• Proven basic computer skills and valid driver’s license with transportation.

Responsibilities

• Works with Registered Nurses to care for surgical patients in the OR.
• Prepares instruments for procedures; scrubs in and assists the surgeon.
• Assists in room turnover and instrument decontamination.
• Contributes to orientation of new surgical technicians.
• Supports staffing for the ASC OR; serves age groups from infant to geriatric.
