Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring Surgical Technician I/II to support OR teams at multiple Houston locations. The candidate will scrub in, prep instruments, and assist surgeons under supervision, with growth to higher responsibilities.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, BLS, and 1+ year of experience. Local travel and dependable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• 1+ year of surgical tech experience preferred and knowledge of at least one specialty service.
• Proven basic computer skills and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the OR with instrument prep and scrubbing for procedures.
• Collaborate with RNs to care for surgical patients and maintain room turnover.
• Assist in instrument decontamination and supply management.
• Support orientation for new surgical technicians and adapt to age groups served.
