**Responsibilities**

**Responsibilities:**

+ Assists surgical team in the scrubbing role according to prescribed standards and licensure

+ Passes instruments, suture products, medication, and sponge materials to surgeon

+ Assists with retracting of tissue and organs, and suctioning by holding the retracting instrumentwhich has been placed by the surgeon

+ Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure

+ Proficiently function in the scrub role for all services provided

**Qualifications**

**Required Education and Experience:**

+ High school diploma/GED

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience

+ Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) or LVN

+ BLS-CPR
