Job summary

UP Health System - Bell is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Operating Room to join a dedicated team in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves weekday days, 8-hour shifts, and an on-call rotation including weekends after orientation.

You will support OR procedures, maintain sterile technique, and contribute to high-quality patient care. Graduate of a surgical technology program is preferred; BLS-HCP certification required, with at least 6 months of prior facility experience.UP

Responsibilities

• Assist in the OR with patient positioning and instrument handling.

How you'll contribute

ASurgical Technicianwho excels in this role:

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred. Additional Requirements as follows.

• Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP)
