Job summary

Marquette General Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. We are seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech OR to join our team, supporting surgical care and patient outcomes with dedication and compassion.

You will help prepare the OR, assist during procedures, manage instruments, and participate in on-call coverage and training activities. This role emphasizes critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • 1 year related experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) required.
  • Must work well in a high-stress environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
  • Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instrument counts.
  • Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
  • Performs on-call services as requested and participates in turnover efficiency.
  • Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.

Shift- 6:45am-7:15pm

30-minute response time for on call requirement.

On call requirement is 1 night per week and one weekend per month.

$7,500 SIGN ON BONUS *Based on meeting eligibility criteria

How You'll Contribute
  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
  • Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
  • Performs on call services as requested.
  • Actively participates and ensures room turnovers are efficient and timely.
  • Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
  • Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
