Optum is hiring a Surgical Technologist in Seattle, WA, to work with the surgical team and support the Surgeon with instrument handling, sterile processing, and patient care planning.

Responsibilities include aseptic technique, assisting with procedures, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and HIPAA policies. The role offers competitive hourly pay and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Formación

• WA State Surgical Technologist registration or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current AHA/BLS Certification.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the Surgeon by being familiar with the surgical procedure, instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Functions as the Scrub Nurse and Sterile Assistant to the Surgeon.
• Assists in planning and implementing patient care around the surgical procedure.
• Maintains aseptic technique and handles instruments and equipment properly.
• Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety policies, HIPAA and universal precautions.
• Participates in delivery of quality care and responds to requests from patients and staff.
