Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC seeks a Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient surgeries. You will maintain sterile technique, prepare the operating room, and assist the surgeon with instrument handling and patient positioning, under RN supervision.

The role requires NBSTSA certification, CPR, and completion of an OR technician course or equivalent, with day shift responsibilities and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NBSTSA national certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Completion of a recognized OR technician course or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care tasks under RN supervision and assists the surgeon.
• Prepares operating room and equipment; maintains sterile technique.
• Passes instruments, sponges and sutures to the surgeon.
• Performs instrument counts and maintains documentation.
• Assists in positioning patients and in operative site preparation.
