Job summary

Lexington Health, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support invasive and minimally invasive procedures in a fast-paced operating room.

The ideal candidate will have NBSTSA certification, CPR, and completion of an OR technologist program, with a strong commitment to sterile technique and patient safety. The role collaborates with RN staff, surgeons, and anesthesia to prepare the OR, pass instruments, and maintain compliance with infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• National NBSTSA certification is required; CPR certification is also required.
• Completion of an OR technician program or equivalent training is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing the operating room and maintaining sterile technique.
• Passes instruments, sponges and sutures to the surgeon as directed.
• Assists in positioning the patient and supports anesthesia personnel as needed.
• Maintains instrument counts and assists with environmental checks post-procedure.
• Collaborates with nurses and physicians to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Performs duties as surgical technologist under supervision of the surgeon.
