Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile and aseptic technique in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, prepare the OR, and pass instruments to ensure safe, efficient procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold NBSTSA national certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• CPR certification is required for clinical duties.
• Completion of a recognized OR tech program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care tasks under RN supervision and surgeon guidance.
• Anticipates supplies and equipment needs for procedures and passes instruments.
• Prepares the operating room and maintains sterile technique for procedures.
• Assists with draping, positioning, and patient safety during surgery.
• Documents instrumentation counts and ensures proper labeling of specimens.
• Collaborates with circulating nurse and anesthesia staff during procedures.
