Job summary

Crisp Regional Hospital invites applications for a Surgical Technician – Non-Certified to support the Surgical Services team. The role assists with patient comfort, basic care, and peri-operative preparation, working under the Director of Surgical Services.

Responsibilities include preparing cases, restocking rooms, maintaining sterile fields and instrument counts, and collaborating with health care providers to ensure quality outcomes across all procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a Surgical Technician program.
• Up to one year of work-related experience or equivalent education/training.
• Must maintain Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification, obtained or renewed within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support to nursing staff in delivering quality patient care.
• Prepares for scheduled and emergent cases, and gathers supplies for cases and next day.
• Maintains instrumentation and surgical supplies on sterile field for accurate counting.
• Decontaminates and prepares used instruments for transport and sterilization.
• Assists with room turnover and ensures up-to-date information on procedure counts and supplies.
