Job summary

Crisp Regional Health Services is seeking a Surgical Technician – Non-Certified to join the surgery department. The role supports nursing staff, prepares for cases, restocks supplies, and maintains sterile fields and records for accurate perioperative processing.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technician program, and a BLS certification (obtainable within orientation if not current). Prior experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of a Surgical Technician program.
• Up to one year of related work experience or equivalent education/training.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team with positive interpersonal communication with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Provides direct support to the nursing staff in delivering quality patient care.
• Prepares for scheduled and emergent cases, gathers supplies, and restocks for next day’s cases.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to be ready for peri-operative procedures and assists with timely room turnover.
• Orders and restocks surgical rooms and keeps preference cards up to date to ensure accurate case charges and outcomes.
