Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to join the intraoperative team. The CST maintains the sterile field and supports the surgical staff to ensure safety and efficiency in the Operating Room.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Proven ability to collaborate with patients, families and care partners.
• Strong interpersonal communication and empathy in diverse patient populations.
• Attention to detail with accurate, clear reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards, policies and procedures relevant to surgical functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assist with operative procedures.
• Assist with gowning and gloving of the surgical team.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care support and patient safety advocacy.
• Precept and mentor other surgical team members as needed.
