Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Understanding of healthcare industry concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret surgeon instructions and follow directions.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools including MS Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and informs the circulating nurse.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports patient and staff relations and responds to complaints quickly.
• Maintains aseptic technique and addresses breaks promptly.
• Supervises team members and supports orientation and training.
• Ensures a safe operating room environment and proper room turnover.
