Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our OR team on a PRN Day shift. You will anticipate the surgeon's needs, keep the circulating nurse informed, and assemble supplies, equipment, and medications before procedures.

In this role you will uphold aseptic technique, monitor infection control, supervise staff as needed, and support performance improvement initiatives while delivering safe, high-quality patient care within a compliant, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Grad or equivalent.
• Associate or technical/vocational degree preferred.
• Field of Study: Surgical Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and informs the circulating nurse during procedures.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors infection control practices.
• Supervises staff and assists with orientation and training of new personnel.
• Promotes a safe environment and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Performs room turnover efficiently and supports quality initiatives.
