Zusammenfassung

Health First is seeking a Surgical Technician to perform a variety of technical activities related to patient care in the operating room under the direction of a registered nurse. This position is per diem and requires standby/on-call readiness within the Florida facility network.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, maintaining sterile fields, assisting with instrument handling, and supporting the surgical team during procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Reliable transportation with 30-minute on-call response.
• Detail-oriented with concentration for continuous tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously and accept feedback.

Aufgaben

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
• Create, maintain, and terminate sterile fields for procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments; report faulty equipment.
• Assist with training of new technical personnel.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies.
• Attend in-services and mandatory meetings.
