Health First in Melbourne, FL seeks a Surgical Technician to support perioperative care under RN direction. You will help prepare rooms, maintain sterile fields, and assist surgeons during procedures.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technologist program or OR tech training, reliable transport, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Reliabile transportation; respond within 30 minutes when on call.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain and terminate sterile fields for procedures.
• Handle, care for and inspect instruments/equipment; report faults.
• Assist with precepting new personnel.
• Attend in-services and mandatory meetings.
• Assist nursing staff in care plans; anticipate surgeon needs.
• Pass instruments, sponges and supplies during procedures.
• Adhere to procedures and complete skills checklists.
