Job summary

UF Health in St. Augustine, FL seeks a Surgical Technician to provide perioperative support. Responsibilities include preparing supplies, setting up sterile fields, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Must have a accredited Surgical Tech program or 1-year experience, plus BLS (AHA) clearance within 30 days. PRN, variable hours with on-site duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate Accredited Surgical Tech Program or 1-year Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; preferred: Certified Scrub Technician.
• Must withstand stressful situations and maintain organization.
• Good interpersonal relations and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team pre and post operation.
• Organize and prepare supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Set up sterile field and anticipate surgeon's needs.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon and assist with gowns/gloves.
• Clean and maintain surgical instruments and operating room after procedures.
