Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Technician III to join the surgical team at Jersey City Medical Center. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will scrub and assist across multiple service lines, supporting the surgeon before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires completion of an OR Technician program, NBSTSA and BLS certifications, strong communication, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Full-time, day shift in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an OR Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of scrubbing for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, plastics and trauma.
• NBSTSA Certification required and BLS Cardiopulmonary Certification.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgeon and RN during procedures.
• Deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and support staff.
