Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Technician III to join our operating room team. This role supports the surgeon and RN, delivering patient care before, during, and after surgery, with emphasis on sterile technique and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an OR technician program, 2–3 years of experience, and NBSTSA certification. Day shift, full-time, in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an OR Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience in OR tech.
• Must scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and RN during surgery and patient care.
• Scrub and prepare the operating room; maintain sterile technique.
• Schedule and coordinate with team; respond to calls as needed.
