Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health’s Jersey City Medical Center seeks an OR Tech III to support the surgical team in the operating room. The role collaborates with the surgeon and RN to prepare, scrub, and assist during procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, OR technician training, 2–3 years of experience, and proficiency with multiple service lines, along with strong communication and the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an OR technician training program.
• 2–3 years of OR technician experience.
• Ability to scrub listed service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Work with surgeon and RN to deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Scrub and assist on assigned service lines as directed by the surgical team.
• Communicate effectively and multitask in a fast-paced operating room.
