Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is hiring a Surgical Tech for the Operating Room. This full-time day shift role runs 6:45 am to 7:15 pm with call required.

You will scrub, assist licensed staff, and support patient care across age groups under RN supervision. The position requires a HS diploma or GED, graduation from a Surgical Technology program, BCLS on hire, and CST preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) on hire required; CST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties and supports patient care alongside licensed staff.
• Functions with higher level critical thinking and problem solving in the OR.
• Provides patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
