The University of Kentucky HealthCare in Lexington, KY is seeking a Surgical Tech for PRN Pool/On-Call roles in the Center for Advanced Surgery. The role involves scrubbing, passing instruments, and maintaining sterile field throughout procedures, with responsibilities including counts and instrument setup.

Qualified candidates will have HS education, relevant surgical tech certifications, and experience or appropriate licensure; on-call availability is required.

Qualificações

• Graduate from a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program in surgical technology or equivalent certification.
• LPN with 10+ years in a Surgical Tech/Technologist role or certification by NBSTSA/AAH/NHWA/NCCT.
• UKHC employee already in a Surgical Technician/Technologist role as of 09/17/2016

Responsabilidades

• Pass surgical instruments in the operating room.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with surgical case counts.
• Obtain supplies and instruments for cases and ensure they are complete and functioning.
• Set up and maintain sterile field until the patient exits the room.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and anticipate their needs while monitoring sterile technique.
