Job summary

Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY is seeking a PRN Surgical Tech to scrub, prepare sterile supplies, and support the operating room team. The role requires CST certification and BLS, with preference for 1 year of experience to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

You will assist with draping, instrument handling, sterile field maintenance, and room turnover between cases while upholding privacy and standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as scrub person during operative procedures by assembling supplies and equipment.
• Prepares and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists with placement of sterile drapes and provides instruments to the team.
• Maintains an organized sterile field and ensures sterility.
• Assists with post-procedure room cleaning and prepares the room for the next patient.
• Maintains records and participates in competency verification activities.
