Job summary

SCA Health in New York is hiring for a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative and invasive procedures. In this role you will scrub, prepare instruments and assist with room turnover to ensure readiness for the next patient.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technologist course, and two years OR experience; ASC experience and OR tech certifications are preferred. Compensation ranges from $22.50 to $28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a surgical technologist course.
• Minimum of two years operating room experience; ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred; military or US Public Health Service tech training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Prepare and decontaminate surgical instruments for processing and transport.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning and room preparation for next patients.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education

Surgical Technologist course

Two years operating room experience

ASC experience preferred

ORT certification preferred

Armed forces / US Public Health Service tech training
