Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Tech III for Jersey City Medical Center in the Operating Room. This full-time, night-shift role supports the perioperative team, ensuring safe patient care and efficient surgical workflow.

Required: Surgical Technician training, NBSTSA certification, BLS, and 2–3 years of OR experience. You will scrub across multiple service lines and communicate effectively with team members and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program required.
• 2–3 years of experience preferred.
• Capability to scrub across multiple service lines (robotics, vascular, neurovascular, orthopedics, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the perioperative RN, organize and administer age-appropriate care.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure expected physiologic responses during surgery.
• Support the surgical team in the operating room and perioperative division.
