Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech II to join the Operating Room team. You will collaborate with perioperative staff to support patient care during daytime procedures and maintain a safe, efficient surgical environment.

The role requires 2–3 years of OR tech experience and completion of an OR Technician program, with scrub experience across multiple service lines. Strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an OR Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge scrubbing multiple service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, trauma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
• Must multitask, be flexible and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Function as a team member to organize and administer individualized age-specific care with perioperative RN.
• Maintain an environment that supports safe patient outcomes in the surgical suite.
• Ensure patient physiologic responses to surgery are as expected across the perioperative division.
